Scripture
Mark 5.1–20
Sermon
Jesus sees you, loves you, and sends you
Sermon Outline
1. Jesus sees the one whom no one pays attention to (Mark 5.1–5).
2. Jesus sets free the one who is bound (verses 6–13).
3. Jesus sends the one who was once broken (verses 14–20).
Application
How does Jesus’ salvation and love impact your life right now?
1. In your studies: Believe that your worth is not defined by your grades
2. In your worldview: Build a God-centred value system
3. In your life: Be courageous in testifying for the Lord
Discussion Questions:
1. God didn’t create you to be number one, but to glorify Him. Studying hard isn’t about getting others to like you, but about responding to God’s calling and plan for you.
Would you be willing to share your past understanding in this area? What do you think now?
2. What is your biggest challenge in bearing witness for Jesus, especially in public?
In what areas would you like others to pray for you as support?
3. Even though you may not have experienced demon possession like the man in the story, the devil still binds people through different means.
Based on your understanding of yourself and your observations of classmates or friends, what are some ways the devil is binding people’s hearts?
How can people experience freedom in these areas of bondage?
