Sermon
Logs, Dust, and Eternity
Sermon Outline
1. We are often blind to our own sin, while sharply aware of others’ faults.
2. The world and its desires will pass away, but God calls us to endure by doing His will—starting with ourselves.
3. True humility means quietly taking responsibility for our own growth, not pretending to be saviours of others or the planet.
Questions to think about
1. Why do you think it’s so tempting to focus on other people’s faults instead of our own? Can you think of a time when you did this?
2. What does it look like in daily life to ‘do the will of God’ instead of chasing the world’s desires?
3. Are there any ways you’ve tried to ‘fix the world’ or others before letting God deal with your own heart first? What would repentance look like for you now?
