Sermon Outline
1. Looking Back with Gratitude – God Has Been Faithful
Paul gives thanks to God even while he is in prison (Phil. 1.3).
Discussion Question: As you look back on this past year, what is one blessing or moment where you can now see God’s help or guidance, even if it was not obvious at the time?
2. Recognising God’s Ongoing Work – He Is Shaping You
Philippians 1.6 reminds us that God is still at work in us.
Discussion Question: In what area of your life do you sense God has been shaping your character this year (e.g. patience, humility, trust, perseverance)?
3. Honest Self-Examination – What Needs to Change?
Hebrews 12.1 talks about things that ‘hinder’ us, not only sins.
Discussion Question: What is one habit, attitude, or distraction that you feel may be pulling you away from a closer walk with Jesus?
4. Moving Forward with Faith – Fixing Our Eyes on Jesus
Hebrews 12.2 calls us to fix our eyes on Jesus.
Discussion Question: As you step into the new year, what is one small but intentional step you want to take to grow closer to Christ, and how can the group support you?
