Sermon Outline
1.Our past still continues to cast its shadow over our present (Genesis 50.15).
2.We fall into self-redemption in order to set ourselves free from our past (verses 16–18).
3.We must acknowledge that there is no page, no mistake, and no hurt in our lives which God cannot use to reveal His goodness and grace (verses 19–21).
Discussion Questions
1. Why are we often influenced by our past?
2. What are we using to save our past mistakes and hurts?
3. Although past mistakes and wounds can’t be undone, what can our God do?
