Sermon Outline
1. The Jews were and are waiting for a saviour, but one who would save them on their own terms, so they ended up rejecting Jesus.
2. Christ was humble and selfless, but he also came to be our King.
3. By flipping tables and whipping moneychangers, Christ was actually showing kindness to his children.
Questions to think about
1. Jesus is God but was humble. What excuse do we have to be proud of ourselves?
2. We want God and his church to fit our expectations instead of letting ourselves be changed to fit God’s standard. Think of times when you’ve done this.
3. What does it mean to let Christ be King over our entire world?
4. Paul tells us that our bodies are also temples. In what ways have we used our temples in ways that dishonour God?
