Sermon
Why angry with God?
Speaker

Sermon Outline
1. It seems very reasonable to be angry with God when we see only from the framework of our own needs, our own timing, and our circumstances
(Jonah 4.1–4)
2. Our justice is often based on our self-centredness (verses 5–9).
3. God’s righteousness always far surpasses ours (verses 10–11).
Questions to think about
1. When was a time you were angry with God? Why were you angry?
2. Do you think it was right for you to be angry with God?
3. Why do you think God’s righteousness always surpasses our so-called righteousness?
4. Why could the city of Nineveh receive God’s mercy? Where can we look in the book of Jonah to see what God was preparing to do to resolve the problem of sin?
