1. Knowledge of the truth is not enough to build others up! (I Corinth. 8.1–8)

 

2. For the sake of Christ, I am willing to limit my freedom and give up my rights (vv. 9–13).

 

Questions to think about:

 

1. Why isn’t knowledge of the truth enough to build others up?

 

2. How does Jesus Christ embody both truth and grace?

 

3. What would happen if we only had truth without love? Also, what would happen if we only had love without truth?

 

4. How can Christians be like what Martin Luther says: a perfectly free lord of all, subject to none, and at the same time a dutiful servant of all, subject to all?
