Sermon
Perfectionism
Speaker
Michael Dong
Sermon Outline
1. Being ‘perfect’ in the Bible doesn’t mean never making mistakes. It means learning to love, forgive, and be humble like Jesus.
2. God cares more about admitting you’re sorry than about looking good or acting proud, like the Pharisee did.
3. Obeying parents and elders is one way we show love and respect to God and neighbour.
Discussion Questions
1. What do people usually mean by ‘perfect,’ and how is Jesus’ idea different?
2. Why did Jesus say the tax collector had the right heart, not the Pharisee?
3. How does obedience and listening to elders show love for God?
